Mix Stamp. Back to Mix Stamp

A little guidance for your notebook

Product guide

Make Mix Stamp your own, one recipe at a time.

01 / Connect an agent

Your notebook, meet your agent.

Connect an AI agent to Mix Stamp to find recipes, read your drinks, and help create or update variations in your notebook. The connection uses MCP (Model Context Protocol), a standard for giving AI tools access to other apps.

General connection directions

  1. Get your notebook ready. Open Mix Stamp, sign in or create an account, and complete any terms acceptance or notebook setup.
  2. Open your agent’s connection settings. Look for MCP servers, connectors, or integrations, then choose to add a remote server. The names vary by agent.
  3. Add the Mix Stamp server. Name the connection “Mix Stamp” and paste this server URL: https://app.mixstamp.com/mcp Choose Streamable HTTP if your agent asks for a transport. This is a remote connection, not a local command or an SSE endpoint.
  4. Sign in and authorize. Start the connection’s OAuth sign-in flow. In the browser, use the same account you use for Mix Stamp and review the access request before approving it. Return to your agent when authorization finishes. You do not need to paste a password or API key into the conversation.
  5. Try a read-only request. Enable the connection’s tools if prompted, then ask: “Use Mix Stamp to find my recipes with gin.” If you have more than one notebook, tell the agent which one to use. No matching recipes is a valid result, too.

Keep changes intentional

A connected agent can create and edit recipes, not just read them. Ask it to show proposed changes and wait for your approval before saving. Only connect an agent you trust, and review its privacy policy: recipe content returned to the agent is handled by that provider as well.

If the connection doesn’t work

  • Check the full URL above, including /mcp. Opening it as a regular web page is not a connection test.
  • Update your agent and check that it supports the requirements above. If it asks for a local command or a static API key, look for its remote MCP and OAuth options instead.
  • If sign-in expires, reconnect and complete authorization again. If the notebook looks wrong, check which Mix Stamp account you authorized.

Still stuck? Contact support with your agent’s name, version, and error message. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or other credentials.
